The Walking Dead

I sit here, in this barren room
A place we used to fill with joy
An watch the spectres of our happiness prance about
And fade away, fade away, into those hollow walls.

For these walls make this empty house
Where I spent my youngest years
Where the ghost of your love lived strong, unscared
Where the fear of death was but a myth.

And now here I remain, in silence, unscared
And I rise to move some place away
The walking dead, I search this place
And in the kitchen, I find you still there.
